2010 CLAIMS PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR AWARD

Claims Magazine invites you to nominate a progressive leader in claims operations for the 2010 Claims Professional of the Year Award. There is no greater testimonial or show of appreciation than nominating a colleague for the 2010 Claims Professional of the Year Award. Submit a co-worker, director, or other team member of your claims operational team who has exhibited a diligent, leadership, and progressive approach towards optimizing claims handling procedures. One deserving professional will be honored during the 14th Annual ACE at a special ceremony on Thursday, June 24 at 9:00AM. The winner will be highlighted in the August issue of Claims Magazine and the official ACE website.

There can only be one winner, so get your submissions in today!

Nomination Guidelines
Nominations are to include the following:

  • Name, Occupational Address, Phone, Fax, and Email of nominee
  • Name, Occupational Address, Phone, Fax, and Email of nominator
  • Curriculum Vitae/Resume of nominees educational, social and professional experiences
  • A Narrative Statement describing the nominee's qualifications for the Award including detailed list of contributions and improvements made during 2009
  • Names and Phone/Email information of up to 3 references for nominee.

Eligibility

  • This is an award program for an individual whose work has made significant impact on the claims handling process within and/or for an insurance organization – this is not restricted to “claims” job titles only.
  • Candidates for the award must be living persons, and the winner is expected to participate in the Awards Ceremony during the 14th Annual ACE on June 22-24, 2010 at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas.
  • The subject of the candidate's nomination must include a technological development, new process, or a body of work reflecting extraordinary insight, skill, or creativity.
  • The work must have been implemented with proven utility. It must have provided significant direction for future operational procedures, solved an important problem, optimized claims processing, significantly reduced costs or processing time or provided great benefit to clients and/or to the overall insurance organization.
  • There must be available references either documents or testimonials to support the candidate’s nominations.

Selection Process

  • Nominations will be accepted from any individual, organization, or institution.
  • Reference letters are considered confidential. Names and addresses of references should be suggested by the nominator.
  • Nominations are due no later than April 30, 2010. Nominations may be submitted by email with any original supporting materials
  • Nominations will be acknowledged promptly
  • The winning candidate and his/her nominator will be notified no later than June 4, 2010.

Winner's Package
The Winner will receive:

  • A complimentary three-night hotel stay at the Bellagio Hotel – June 22, 23, 24
  • FREE all-access conference registration to the 14th Annual ACE
  • FREE airfare from the city of origin (within the US) to Las Vegas International Airport to attend the conference and receive the award
  • Recognition on the 14th Annual ACE website, dedicated press release to trade and national publications
  • A story in the August issue of Claims magazine

Submissions
Please submit all required information for nomination via email in MS Word or PDF format to Josh Brous, Program Director at jbrous@sbmedia.com. All submissions are due on or before April 30, 2010.
