Elise M. Farnham, CPCU, ARM, AIM, CPIW, President, Illumine Consulting
Elise Farnham has over 35 years experience in the risk management and insurance industry. She is President of Illumine Consulting, a firm dedicated to sharing knowledge with the risk management and insurance communities through continuing education and claims management consulting. Ms. Farnham’s company provides continuing education programs, professional and personal development programs, and business ethics programs.
Elise began her career in the insurance industry in 1973 with Crawford and Company. She became a multi-line adjuster and in 1978 was promoted as the first female claims branch manager for the company. She has worked in Texas, New York and Georgia in senior management positions. She has held senior level positions with The Harmonie Group, CSB Group, and GAB Robins, NA.
Ms. Farnham is a member of the CPCU Society. She has previously served the Society as S. E. Regional Governor, Executive Committee member, president of the Atlanta Chapter of CPCU, and on numerous task forces, including the Ethics Certification Task Force, the CPCU Claims Section Committee, and chaired the Media Advertising Task Force. She is a member of the education and professional development faculty for the Society with courses on ethics as well as technical insurance and risk management topics.
Elise is a member of the ARM, AIC, and CPCU Advisory Boards, which assist the American Institute for CPCU in reviewing and planning ARM, AIC, and CPCU course material. She served on the Board of Ethical Inquiry for the American Institute for CPCU from 2000-2008.
Elise is Past President of the National Association of Insurance Women (International) (1998/1999) having served on the Board of Directors for 5 years. She was Regional Vice President of Region 1 (Northeast). Prior to that, she served two terms as President of NAIW-New York City. Currently, she is a member of the Insurance Professionals of Atlanta. In 2004, she received the AAMGA Achievement Award from the Georgia State Council of NAIW for her contributions to the association. In 2002, 2004, and 2009, she was named Insurance Woman of Atlanta, and in 1993, she was chosen National Claims Professional of the Year.
Elise is an associate member of The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and is a member of their professional development faculty and Professional Development Advisory Committee and teaches 4 Rims Fellow programs. Ms. Farnham also serves on the Board of Directors for the Registered Professional Adjusters Society (RPA.)
Ms. Farnham is an international speaker and her articles have been published in Business Insurance, Claims Magazine, The Claims Advisor, CPCU Claims Section Quarterly, National Underwriter, Risk Management Quarterly, Today’s Insurance Professional, Canadian Insurance Magazine (published in Canada) and Insurance International (published in the UK.). Ms. Farnham provides expert commentary on personal lines issues for the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI.)
She holds industry designations including: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, Associate in Management, and Certified Professional Insurance Woman.
Donna J. Popow, Esq., CPCU, AIC, Sr. Director of Knowledge Resources, Ethics Counsel, The Institutes
Donna Popow joined the Institutes in 2002. She has direct oversight of claims education for the Institutes, including the Introduction to Claims course and the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation program. In addition she acts as ethics counsel for the Institutes, overseeing issues that arise in the matriculation process and handling ethics violations.
Before joining the Institutes, Donna was vice president and litigation manager, Home Office Claims, for the Marine Office of America Corporation/CNA in Monmouth Junction, N.J. Her previous positions include serving as a claims consultant for The Graham Company in Philadelphia, Pa.; as managing attorney for the law firm of Lewis and Wood, also in Philadelphia; and as deputy executive director of the Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment Fund, New Jersey Department of Insurance in Trenton, N.J. She also held claims-related positions with Hanover Insurance Company in Piscataway, N.J.; Accredited Movers, a franchise of North American Van Lines in Parsippany, N.J.; and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in South Plainfield, N.J.
Donna earned an A.B. degree from Franklin and Marshall College in 1977. She received the Insurance Institute of America’s Certificate in General Insurance in 1983 and became a Property Claims Law Associate in 1985. She was awarded a J.D. degree by Seton Hall Law School in 1988 and was admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania the same year. She earned IIA’s AIC designation in 2002. She earned the American Institute’s Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation in 2003.
Georgia Taylor, SCLA, AIC, CPIW, RPA – Fine Art Claim Adjuster/General Adjuster
Shooting Star Claims provides nationwide insurance claim adjusting services specializing in the administration of Fine Art Insurance losses. With over 35 years in the insurance and art industry, Georgia Taylor has assisted insurance carriers, claim departments, brokers, agents and self insured/non-profit administrators in managing their art claims with the highest of quality and integrity. Georgia Taylor has developed a history of nationwide working relationships with art conservators, art shippers, appraisers, museum registrars and personnel, art galleries, antique dealers and artists which assist in successful resolution of fine art claims.
Georgia Taylor as a professional artist herself has a comprehensive and continuing fine art education that enable a wide-ranging understanding of the various processes in creating a piece of art be it a sculpture, painting, ceramics object, weaving, jewelry, or a fine craft or other collectibles. She understands that art and collections require special care and treatment. Georgia Taylor has received national recognition as an artist.

Jane Tutoki, Global Head of Claims Management Services, Xchanging
Jane Tutoki is Xchanging’s Global Head of Claims Management Services. She joined Xchanging from her position as Chief Claims Officer at Zurich Financial Services in November 2010.
Prior to joining Zurich North America Commercial in August 2007, Jane worked in Switzerland as the global chief claims officer for Zurich Financial Services. Jane joined Zurich from the Farmers Insurance Exchanges where she served two years as Vice President of Auto Claims and in 2003 became Vice President of Specialty Claims. Prior to joining Farmers, Jane was the Vice President of Commercial Claims operations for The Hartford Insurance Company.
Jane began her affiliation with the insurance industry as a trial lawyer performing defence work for numerous insurance companies, then becoming in-house counsel for the Continental/CNA insurance company before joining The Hartford in 1993.
In September 2009, Jane was honoured with the Insurance Networking News’ Women in Insurance Leadership award. She is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and is a past member of the Board of Director’s of Electricidad de Caracas (EDC), a Venezuelan electric company.
Jane holds a law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in management from Seton Hill College. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, New York and the U.S. Supreme Court
